These first sketches are for the girl riding the beast into the sunset idea. They're mostly just compositions and creature design sketches.
The sketches below are for the whales vs. whale hunters idea. I think that might be a fun direction to go, but I honestly think our other ideas are better, so maybe not.
The last sketch is for the nightmare gardener idea. I have him harvesting dreams, picking ripe ones to put in a cage which he carries over his shoulder. The second part of the image shows dreams, beautiful but sad, imprisoned in cages back at his home.
