As nightmares and dreams in general are usually not as sharp and clear as day would you think for the nightmare character some really abstract and lost edges would work? 


Flying into the sunset on the nightmare

Metaphor:
Like ship and its figurehead sailing into the sunset.
Surfing the nightmare of a wave as it's roaring behind like an acid rain of seaweed.

Feeling:
Looks like it could portray a happy feeling but somehow it is very sad

Nightmare Gardening
Do we want to make this in a way more interesting and showing the ordinary side of the nightmare. He's like any other bloke and when he is off duty he is taking care of his garden

Metaphors:
a hungry bear frantically trying to fits its stomach full of berries in the forest as his eyes fall on the first cluster of chanterelle(mushrooms) ripe for picking.
